Tamoah hails from a family famed for their long line of Rabinnacal Scholars, going back to 13th Century Terra. The Hur's opted not to merge with the Roman Catholic Church (as so many Rabbis did in the 21st Century). As such, Tamoah was educated in a Kibbutz on the planet of York in Lyran space. By the time he was twelve he had the understanding of the Torah of a 40 year old, but he never saw God there. At the tender age of 16 he left the Kibbutz, breaking the hearts of his parents. His Father still refuses to speak with him. Staying with wealthy relatives in Tharkad and helping to manage their thriving jewelry business, Tamoah saved enough money to attend a small, private Mechwarrior academy. Where he failed to see the divine in the Torah, he found it in the cockpit of a Battlemech.
