The huge Lyran conglomerate, Nashan Diversified, is hosting a Solaris Mech Tournament as a launching pad of their new advertising campaign featuring Binsby Berries. Nashan has extended 3 invitations to Scooby’s Scrappers (weird how that works out huh?) based on their recent successes and rumors of the advanced technology Battlemechs they may be able to field.

This tournament is not part of the official Solaris VII league and as such has some different rules. All of the matches are randomly determined multi-mech matches, fought in a large arena. The winner of each opening round match will win a place in the final battle royale. In addition, the winner of each and every round will be able to claim all of the surviving Battlemechs as salvage. Of course, this also means that you must forfeit your own Mech should you lose.

If you don't want to risk your own Mech you can still sign up and be granted a completely random Mech by Nashan Diversified. Of course, you will not be able to claim any defeated Mechs as salvage if you choose this option.

The judges will have a series of overrides, up to and including forced ejection, to deal with any malingerers who don’t press the battle, so beware!

In addition to the salvage opportunities the winner of each opening match will receive 250,000 C-Bills (1 WP) and the overall winner will receive 1,000,000 C-Bills (4 WP).

Are the matches by weight class, or completely random? If they are by weight class, Edward Davis will enter and use his own Mech. If they are not by weight class, Ghent will enter using a random Mech.

Matches are random. Most of the competitors signed up so far are using Mediums or Heavies and the random roll for player loaner Mechs are skewed in this direction as well.
