After the bloody clash with Wilson's Fusiliers on Keystone the Scrappers returned to Solaris where they closed the doors of their headquarters and left the system. Rumors are running wild. Some say that the CO much like the late Wilson has snapped and is off on some fool’s errand. Others say they have taken another Comstar mission this one requiring the highest level of secrecy. No one knows what is really happening and probably even fewer care about such a small unit no matter how eccentric their CO might be.

The Scrappers closed up shop on Solaris and made a beeline for Broken Wheel. During transit Scooby announced to the rest of the unit that they were to commit an act of unforgivable lawlessness against the Federated Suns in order to save the sibling of one of their comrades. St. John Teach has a brother in prison due for execution. He outlined his plan to make a combat drop against the facility holding Teach’s brother. He asked if anyone had reservations about the mission and not a soul stepped forward. Together they began to prepare for the attack on the 1st Argyle Lancers.
Alpha Command Lance made the drop on the prison. The execution was flawless with all four members of the lance managing to land on their marks. Rollo and Ghent landed on the peaks on opposite sides of the prison. Sansen came down near Ghent while Scooby came crashing down into the prison structure itself.
Defending the prison were heavier elements of the Lancers composed of a Jagermech, Rifleman[/], [i]Crusader, Warhammer, and a pair of turrets. The defenders were able to get off a few shots before the Scrappers could clear their drop pods, scoring some hits but nothing serious. Scooby opened up on the innards of the prison facility while his lance mates kept the lancers busy. Rollo leaped behind the Jagermech and fired his lasers into its back while launching a missile volley at one of the turrets. The missiles mangled the turret so that it could no longer rotate. The lasers bored into the Jagermechs back armor and ignited its ammunition stores. The pilot ejected and nearly splattered himself against Rollo’s Trebuchet. Rollo quickly but delicately scooped him up in his mechs hand and leapt away. Ghent and Sensen’s Griffins traded fire with the Crusader and Warhammer. The Rifleman tried to attack Scooby’s Phoenix Hawk but most of the fire just burned into the prison.
The next volley from the Crusader landed in the magazine of Ghent’s LRM ammo and obliterated his mech. Ghent ejected and joined the Lancer pilot in Rollo’s fist. Sansen scored hits on the remaining turret while Scooby used his targeting computer to fire on the Rifleman’s leg. His shots melted the armor plating, internal structure, and actuators in the leg causing the mech to pitch over on its side. Meanwhile St. John’s brother ran out of the prison and into the leg access port on the Phoenix Hawk. The three remaining Scrappers fled the scene at top speed. Quickly losing the heavier, slower mechs in the mountain passes.
As the Command Lance retreated from the jail break they were pursued by the Lancers. A lance of extremely fast light mechs including a star league erra Spider over took the fleeing Scrappers. A brief but deadly firefight cost the Lancers a Flea and Hussar.
